The Guam Museum invites the community to experience Mark Dell’Isola: A Retrospective 1986–2026, a powerful exhibition celebrating four decades of artistic exploration, visual storytelling, and creative connection across the Pacific.
The exhibition will be on view at the Guam Museum from July 31 through October 31, 2026, with an Opening Reception on July 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This retrospective offers audiences a rare opportunity to look across the span of Dell’Isola’s work from 1986 to 2026, highlighting his distinctive use of color, movement, pattern, and symbolism. His work reflects deep connections to island landscapes, cultural memory, personal identity, and the natural world, creating pieces that feel both intimate and expansive.
Featured in the exhibition is Palau DNA, a vivid and intricate work that reflects the artist’s layered approach to composition. Through branching lines, vibrant color, and organic forms, the piece evokes ideas of ancestry, environment, connection, and transformation. The exhibition also includes visual references to Dell’Isola’s time in Palau, including imagery from the Rock Islands, where art, place, and lived experience converge.
Mark Dell’Isola: A Retrospective 1986–2026 invites visitors to consider how art can carry memory, movement, and meaning across time. The exhibition traces not only the evolution of an artist’s visual language, but also the ways Pacific places and experiences continue to shape creative expression.
The Guam Museum is proud to host this special retrospective as part of its ongoing commitment to presenting meaningful exhibitions that connect community, culture, history, and contemporary artistic practice.
Community members, students, artists, educators, and visitors are encouraged to attend the opening reception and explore this vibrant body of work.
