February marks the launch of “Rooted,” the Guam Museum’s new monthly feature in the digital magazine Dwell Well Guam, which debuted just last November.

Each month, we’ll share stories from the Museum’s collections, exhibits, and ongoing work – inviting you to listen closely to what our artifacts and histories have to tell us.

Take a look at a snapshot from our very first article and join us as we continue sharing the stories that connect us to place, people, and past. This first article discusses the history and cultural significance of the kulo’ and includes images of a special ancient version found during the excavation of the Mocham area, where the Mangilao Golf Course is today.

This educational feature and other programs for 2026 are being launched as part of the celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the dream of the Guam Museum.

If you enjoy the work the Guam Museum is doing, consider making a donation to the Guam Museum.
