The Guam Girl Scouts were formed in 1935 and beyond cookie sales, have been a part of this island’s history and community, shaping generations of civic and political leaders and  members bearing witness to dramatic, political changes, typhoons, and even war. Since last year, the Guam Museum has been working on digitizing the archives of the Guam Girl Scouts, which includes thousands of articles and photos.

In 2026 the Guam Girl Scouts is collaborating with the Guam Museum to highlight the history of their organization through an exhibit and is seeking loans and donations of items from the community.

Items include but are not limited to: Girl Scout uniforms and other products, photos, newspapers/magazine clippings, letters, oral histories or interviews

Those interested in sharing stories or donating/loaning items may email the Guam Museum curator, Dr. Michael Bevacqua, at michael.bevacqua@dca.guam.gov or call 671 – 989-4455. The museum may not be able to display all items collected due to space limitations.

Feel free to also contact Samantha Owens, Director of the Guam Girl Scouts at ggsi.director@gmail.com to coordinate donation of any materials.

Deadline for submission is March 6, 2026.

If you enjoy the work the Guam Museum is doing, consider making a donation to the Guam Museum.
