Guåhan has a rich history in grassroots movements and community organization for decolonization. We need your help to tell our story.

The Commission on Decolonization and the Guam Museum invites you to share your family’s stories and loan items that are linked to decolonization and issues of Self-determination, land back, environmental preservation, and culture and language reclamation. These artifacts and information will help us in building an exhibit that highlights the people of Guåhan’s efforts in advancing our island’s Self-determination movement.

Items of interest include but are not limited to:
– Signage (e.g. banners and posters)
– Photographs
– Audio and visual recordings
– Copies of correspondence/testimony
– Clothing

Please contact Dr. Michael Lujan Bevacqua if you are interested in loaning or donating items for this exhibit at michael.bevacqua@dca.guam.gov or call (671) 989-4455.
